After 11 seasons, which included being behind the dish for four no-hitters, as well as a World Series title in 2008, catcher Carlos Ruiz‘s time with the Philadelphia Phillies officially came to an end Thursday when he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, along with cash, in exchange for catcher A.J. Ellis, right-hander Tommy Bergjans, and a player to be named later.

Upon making the trade announcement, the Phillies followed it up with a touching thank you video tribute to the player nicknamed “Chooch.”

The 37-year-old Ruiz, who was signed by the Phillies out of Panama as an amateur free agent in 1998, spent his entire career with the organization, slashing .266/.352/.393 with 68 home runs and 401 RBIs, which also included an All-Star appearance in 2012.
