With the National League MVP race heating up, Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado made his case in a big way on Sunday.

Arenado became the first NL player to reach 100 RBIs thanks to his two-home run, six-RBI game in an 11-4 win against the Chicago Cubs. He now has 104 RBIs on the year, which is 15 more than Washington Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy, who has 89.

He became only the sixth third baseman in league history under the age of 25 with 30 plus home runs and over 100 RBIs in consecutive seasons. Arenado is now the NL leader with 32 home runs, one ahead of former third baseman Kris Bryant.
