A quartet of Premier League clubs are reportedly observing Danny Ings‘ revival after knee injuries threatened to derail the English forward’s career.

According to the Guardian’s Dominic Fifield, Ings is wanted on loan by West Ham United and Newcastle United, while Crystal Palace and Stoke City are also interested in signing the product of AFC Bournemouth. He’s apparently being pursued for a potential temporary move in January and is aiming for a revival, having lost two years on the sidelines.

Hammers boss David Moyes allegedly attempted to sign Ings during his time as manager of Real Sociedad, while Newcastle explored his availability over the summer. The Irons and the Magpies are reportedly expected to lodge bids, and could be joined by Palace and Stoke.

Ings’ only first-team appearance this season came in the third round of the Carabao Cup, when he played 17 minutes as a substitute in Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat at Leicester City. The last time he started a Premier League game came in October 2015, when he opened the scoring in the 225th edition of the Merseyside derby as Everton and the Reds played out a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

But Ings’ displays with Liverpool’s under-23 team are apparently being monitored by rival clubs. He scored four goals and set up two others as the Reds claimed a 7-0 victory over Bristol City in the Premier League Cup. He also found the back of the net twice against Stoke in the competition, which was introduced in 2013-14 and is contested by under-23 teams, with each club allowed three overage outfield players.
