Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson is ready to make his NFL debut after tweeting a picture of himself practicing on Monday.

The 2016 first-round pick has been dealing with an Achilles injury that has kept him out of practice since the beginning of training camp.

Doctson is expected to play in Week 1, with head coach Jay Gruden saying he could make his debut in the Redskins’ final preseason game last Tuesday.

“He did the route tree today, which is very positive,” Gruden said. “I have total expectation that he’s going to be ready Week 1, possibly the fourth preseason game, but we’ll still see. Like I said, it’s a new injury to me.”

Doctson is expected to be a big part of the Redskins’ offense, particularly in the red zone, as the TCU product is a big-bodied receiver that developed some chemistry with quarterback Kirk Cousins during OTAs.
