LeBron didn't plan to troll Golden State with Ultimate Warrior shirt

Social media went bonkers over LeBron James showing up back in Cleveland wearing an Ultimate Warrior shirt ahead of the Cavaliers‘ championship parade.

Considering he had just led his team from a 3-1 series deficit to a Game 7 victory over the Golden State Warriors, rocking that tee was heralded as a troll job of epic proportions.

James insists it was merely a coincidence, however.

He said his wife, Savannah Brinson, had bought it after he told her who his favorite wrestlers were. He packed all those T-shirts throughout the postseason, and it just so happened the Ultimate Warrior tee was the only one left when it came time to celebrate.

“The shirt that I had on to come home in, I wore in Vegas, and my teammates sprayed me with Champagne,” James explained to Alyson Shontell of Business Insider. “It got soaking wet, so I had to throw it in the trash, and the only other shirt I had in my bag was my Ultimate Warrior T-shirt.”

The three-time champ clarified, saying it was the only one packed in his carry-on luggage.

“And that’s what I put on. Everybody thinks it was set up that way, but it really wasn’t. It kind of worked out that way,” he said.

Even if the Cavs had lost, the 31-year-old would’ve ended up wearing the same shirt – barring influence from a certain teammate.

That would have been the T-shirt I’d have had on still. Or I could have done the J.R. Smith and not worn a T-shirt,” he joked.

Sure, LeBron.

All that explains how he “didn’t” mean to troll with the shirt, but what about his championship Kermit cap?
