Christian Benteke‘s time at Anfield is over.

On Saturday, Crystal Palace signed Benteke from Liverpool for a transfer fee that, according to the Guardian, is in the region of a club-record £27 million.

The reported fee is less than what Liverpool paid to sign Benteke from Aston Villa in 2012, as the Reds opened their wallet to the tune of £32.5 million for the Belgian forward. The 25-year-old is Palace’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window, joining the likes of Andros Townsend, James Tomkins, and Steve Mandanda.

“I’m very happy to commit my future to Crystal Palace and I’m looking forward to meeting the manager, the players and the staff,” Benteke said. “I feel really happy that the deal has been done and now I can look forward.”

At Liverpool, Benteke struggled to replicate the form that made him so revered at Villa, managing just 10 goals through 43 appearances in all competitions. Nonetheless, he was called up to Belgium‘s squad for Euro 2016, where he found himself behind Romelu Lukaku in the Red Devils’ pecking order and failed to score in the two fixtures where he took the pitch.
