Chile‘s failed World Cup qualifying campaign hasn’t gone over well with Claudio Bravo‘s wife, Carla Pardo, who accused players of showing up to training drunk.

A day after Brazil ended Chile’s World Cup qualifying dream with a decisive 3-0 victory, Pardo took to Instagram and unleashed a scathing assessment of unspecified players and their dedication to the team, though she said a majority of players remained committed to helping the country secure a place in next summer’s competition.

Wednesday’s message on Instagram, as translated by Sky Sports, read: “Thank you for all the beautiful moments my choice. Thank you Captain America for all that I have experienced. It was really beautiful.

“But when they put on the shirt, it has to be with professionalism. I know that most of them bust their asses, while others were leaving parties and even did not train from the drunkenness they were carrying.

“If the shoe fits, wear it, and stop crying. Because now the whole country is crying. Waiting for you my captain with open arms.”

Bravo, 34, revealed after the game that he’s considering his future with the national team, admitting he’s not sure if his body can handle another qualifying campaign when Chile attempts to reach the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“I’m going to take some time to think,” the Manchester City goalkeeper told reporters, according to Adriana Garcia of ESPN FC. “Another four years wears you down tremendously. Things will be decided with calmness, I have to talk to important people before deciding.”
