Josh Gordon is wasting no time in climbing back up the Cleveland Browns depth chart.

Just days after rejoining the team on the practice field, the dynamic receiver was taking some reps alongside the first-team offense Sunday.

“It’s important for him to be with the ones,” head coach Hue Jackson said, according to Pat McManamon of ESPN. “Because I think he’s going to be one of our better players. So we got to put him out there and see what he’s capable of doing.”

Gordon was reinstated from suspension on a conditional basis ahead of training camp, but an offseason quad injury forced him to miss another few weeks of practice.

After serving another four-game ban to start the regular season, the 25-year-old will be eligible to play his first game since 2014 in Week 5 against the New England Patriots.

The quick return to first-team reps hints he’ll regain a starting job soon, if not immediately.

Gordon’s presence, along with first-round wideout Corey Coleman and the transition of former quarterback Terrelle Pryor, gives Robert Griffin III an intriguing trio of targets out wide.

The Baylor product began to emerge as one of the NFL’s top playmakers before a string of suspensions, hauling in 87 receptions for a league-high 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns across just 14 games in 2013.
